P. O. Deep-Water Harbor CURRY’S NATURAL WEALTH Curry county, with its great natural wealth, in timber, minerals, stockraising, dairying and agricul tural lands, extensive deep-sea fishing banks, and su perior recreational advantages, offers unexcelled op portunities for conservative investments, and the citizens of the county heartily welcome investors. I Curry county, however,'should profit by the ex perience of certain sister counties, also having ex ceptionally rich natural resources, where, in the earli er days, great numbers of ill-conducted promotion schemes failed, leaving in their wake a wall of deep- seated prejudice on the part of outside investors that has required many long years of hard effort to over come. Many a meritorious promotion scheme has been ruined by improper handling, and ill-conceived schemes invariably fail. Curry county need have no fear but that inves tors a plenty will seek investments within her bor-1 ders, now that the construction of the scenic Roose velt highway has made her great wealth more readily accessible. Her only fear need be against receiving a black eye and consequent setback in her develop ment by reason of unscrupulous promotion schemes. OUR GIRLS AND BOYS The Port Orford high school girls and boys fully vindicated the judgment of the taxpayers in the building of the gymnasium Saturday night when the new building was formally opened. Their clean sportsmanship and high class playing deserves rec ognition and reflects much credit on not only the students themselves but also those who had their supervision and training in charge. The showing made has justified the building of the gym, and speaks for a scasnn replete with victories. Senators Favor Life Saving Stations (C ontinued from page 1.) P ublicity.
