A scare was thrown into the peo
ple of this city last Wednesday morn
ing when the telephone reported the
house belonging to F. M. Hord to be
on fire. The fire company was called
’out and after making the trip to the
Hord residence it was found that on
ly the flu was burning out. Mrs. Hord
was alone at the time and was some-1
what frightened, but the prompt ac-
tion of the fire company relieved her
mind greatly. She dsires us to ex-
presq her appreciation to the flre
company and to those outside the
company who so quickly and willingly
came to her assistance.
