Jones has filled two ap pointments as the Methodist minister in Dayton, the first time in 1878. He has lost his sight and ia partially deaf, but not withstanding these afflictions ha enjoyed hie visit here greatly. For all he has held pastorates in may plac es i ince he waa located here he remem bered the people that wore here at the time he preached in Dayton, and many who have died or moved away. Mrs. Boettcher and daughter of Ore gon City, and another daughter, Mrs. Jno.
