a number of people to town to vote,
but the day was pretty much the same
as Sunday generally is, in regard bustle

any mount of money that there were
more people forgot this was election

A Southern contempory inquires:
“What breed are the dogs of war?”
Well, you might call them up-setters,

When the Shades are Drawn
and the tender ministry of the living must give place to
the service of the undertaker, it is a real comfort to
surviving friends, to feel sure that the preparation for
burial will be conducted with dignity and proper respect
for the lately departed one.
Then, too, Modern Science has found a way through
the art of Embalming, not only for removing the peril
of contagion, but also of restoring the natural flush of
health, so that the latest picture in memory will be
pleasant to recall.
This process is a part of my service which I will glad
ly explain-to anyone interested.
