On Novem ber 1, 1866, be was married to Mise Samantha Paulin. After a resi dence of five yeara in Indiana, he. with hi a family, in the fall of 1871, came to Yamhill county, Oregon, and located on a farm near Dayton, where, by hia honeat, diligent toil be acquired a good borne, and raiaed na family in honor. For many yeara be was ah active and honored member of the Evangelical church. Rev. J. Bowersox, of Portland, preached the funeral aermOn.
