The World Rests on
Gravity
It hurts because I’m not truly home yet
no, not truly happy and free
A Little red corvette passed me by
and didn’t stop to take notice of me.
A man in the ravine, gathers up his pack
as I helplessly walk towards my bus
Beauty flowers in the gymnasium these days
while broken pulls aluminum from the dust
I think many years back, if you can Remember
we were all at the same party
Some somehow managed to outrun the cops
while others tripped over silent alarm strings
B ut tomorrow we’ll all probably wake up hungover
in sleeping bags on some beach
And you’ll say man last night was crazy
and I’ll say yeah but this sunrise sure is pretty.

Life arranges complexity with
bonds of electricity, hydrogen
bonds, atomic bonds.
Death disorients. Destroys us to
build again.
The cycles of pain and relief
create an. enjoyable contrast
That can.be unendurable through the
troughs. But if you make
it through, the reward that your
body grants is a relative paradise.
The city is toxic, but its
rewards are knowledge.
Loneliness can be tragic
and then death waits. Apparently
the universe will end in absolute
entropy. A mere hint of temperature
increase across the entire universe,
but we’ll never see that.
For now we play, work, and eat.
We think. We do as much
as we want and then we are
not.

The world rests on a balance between both the suffering of the world, the natural
disasters, the violence towards each other, the heath issues, the greed and the
natural beauty of the planet, the love of family, both biological and invited
friends, the charity of strangers, the joy of living. All of this is reality.
