Firstborn Syndrom e
by Maddy Brown-Clark
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 14
I suffer from firstborn syndrome
Expected to be better than I can sometimes be
If I don’t come through I feel like a failure
And that is a feeling I’d like to reject
Sometimes I take on more than I can do
And that only adds to the disaster inside.
But, I must keep on fighting
To be and succeed
I must not give up. It’s a matter of need.

Last Night, It Snowed
by Wookie
This is Portland
On a rare day
It snowed
It was pretty to see
First the icy droplets
Then the big fluffy flakes
The flakes are melting on impact
The icy sidewalks forming
The trees amassing flakes
This is Portland in winter.
