from Beginning to End

What is true love? True love is love is
Loving someone just because.
Not for what they have, or what they can give you...
Loving them unconditionally
not expecting anything back. Loving someone
for who they are, not how they look or act or dress.
True love is loving someone
just because you do, not caring about their past,
or what others think or say about them.
True love is just that a love is true, honest, and
unconditional and rare. You find true love
once in your life, maybe twice...

FARMERS’ MARKET

This is a gift from me to you.
My gift is a small one, it has no value you see,
but a gift none the less from me.
I’ve seen many sights, traversed many paths,
and listened to stories, tales, and songs of times long past.
What is this gift I bring? Is it a precious thing like a ring?
Or perhaps a bird that sings? No I’m sorry it’s no such
Material thing.
The gift I bring is a mental thing,
it sings of stories old, how lives unfold, romances untold,
and messages BOLD.
The words within must be let out,
some are quiet, while others shout.
So, my gift dear friends comes from within,
the page is my stage, for words are the play.
So sit awhile and create with a smile, a soulful drama
of the rhymes of time, with tales of delight while

This is my gift to you, dear friend,
A wealth of knowledge that lives within,
and scribed daily by a simple pen.
