The Drunkard’s Path
(Facing Life)
What is Life?
by Deadpool
by McShown Needles and R obbit W affers
What is life. It is being
alive able to make choices whether
good or bad, the right or wrong.
It doesn’t matter either way
We suffer the consequences, such is life.
Life is the ability to love someone
and care for another life other than yours
To show someone affection and sharing
your dreams, a laugh or a stupid joke.
Life is being able to be yourself no matter
what everyone else thinks
Not having to wear a mask and not being fake.
Life is taking time to slow down
appreciate what’s around you.
Taking time to shàre a smile or a nice greeting,
it’s acting like a kid sometimes, and being responsible
at others. Life is crying, hurting, pain
Love, being loved, and just living
This is what life is.
It started out as an easy gait.
Then turned into a weaving wile.
After waking up I found
I couldn’t sprawl.
I gathered myself and charged
Towards my wherewithal.
Then I turned
To see a friend standing there
His name was Robbie.
Upon arrival I bought
My liquid courage for the next hour.
The bottle wasn’t enough
So I had to go back for more.
Sobriety called so I went to work
Per my daily routine.
