Full House
It’s a crowded house Friday morning, March 18, as vendors gather
in the Street Roots office. The weekly vendor meeting is a time for
vendors to talk about their customers, discuss the issues on the
streets, and get a rundown of what’s in The new edition of Street
R o ots. O n th is day S tre e t R o ots s e t the all-time highest sales day
ever recorded at the office with vendors buying nearly 4,000 copies
in six hours. Thanks to readers, sales of the newspaper have meant
more vendors can support themselves and their efforts to secure a
pathway to housing and stability. Currently 160 vendors sell Street
1 Roots each week, double from ju s t two years ago.
