Times Here

Inside the warmth of our mother’s womb
so secure and comfortable
knowing the unknown
Is soon to come alive
with a new world that reflects the old.
The halo above your head shines bright
With glory and love
being one with the lord
Have mercy on our souls that deserve
Jump with joy knowing that our resting
place is a lounge chair that leans back
into the past, present, and future
love is in the air with each breath
we inhale and exhale
prayers are sent to the most high and
response is on coming and going.
Final Winter Evening

Through the shards of this winter evening
flakes of leaves brush against your cheek
causing a thick elixir of comfort
to empty out into the halls
Outside
the pigeons are submerged
in a trellis of winter moonlight
causing a lotion of light to
open up the room
to the stale husk
of the day
