The Perfect Day
whirlwind dervish dance

there was
an unrepentant
not at all apologetic
honesty
in her stare
polished steel
swirled round
velvet tones
that her Ups
let loose
the truth is
i only have
moments and madness
to offer you
where serenity and intensity
collide
in a tsunami whirlwind cliff dive dance
designed
to turn our skin
into forgotten puddles on the floor
and even though
it seems like it should be
that is never
ever
enough
to quell the gimme’s grip
or stop
your bitter complaint
‘bout mopping your skin back up
A day of laughter
A day of love
A day with the one you love ,
,
Hearts touched by an angel
Hearts touched by God
Hearts touched by the one you love
Warm touches at night
Warm touches in the morn
Feelings of love by the one you love
Feelings of love given by God to last all year long
A day with God loving you from near and far
A day with a song
Singing.with the angels
With the perfect tone to God
To sing from heart just to praise the Lord
To sing “Alleluia” all in perfect notes
To be with God and the one I love all in due time
Until then I’ll love my life
Try to make that perfect day
