How can a person see in a world Full of optical illusions? How in a world full of sound, Can a person choose not to hear? How can we have world peace One night a year? How can there be laughter In a world full of sorrow? How can there be children In a world where human existence Might not be here tomorrow? Helen Hill is an artist, playwright and birth doula who lives in the Portland area. Several years ago she began this series of drawings when she was working on a variety of project with Dignity Village. We all need someone sometime, But there are others Who don’t need anyone at all. At this time, It’s my turn looking For a life line. I have a hold of one, It’s Street Roots.
