Energy Bubble
By Aaron Rondazzo
Sugar stagnates in surplus; a superb thrust
Musty clusters rearranged, vibrating alive today
Smooth grace guided in elegant steps; robust
Muscles bolstered, neck to toes, paving the way
Mutant dreamer, gleaming true; brilliance unused
Silly smiles slanted to slumber, breathe deeper heavy sleeper
I’ll paint your memory, emboldened to immortality, Now...
Articulating your afterlife rejuvenates these rusty hands
For possessing these precious gifts, I bow...
Stars stir to supply variety, begging for a story
This sun dreams Earthly perfection manifested in mind
Neutrinos, cells, organs, conspiring to create an eternal ME
Divinely climbing to sublime times of daily chime
Love forges all designs, pine, pain, plains, noise, toys, you...
Walk then, in grace, inwardly bowing to all creation
Gratitude circulates joy, wisdom, rhythm, purpose too
Experience an impossible endeavor to artsy elation
A heaven dream among confused chaotic characters
Staging a world in masked moralistic mortality
Consciousness may never die, end of lecture
So eternity must be abundant with possibility
A Doll
By Debra Knauf
A cloth doll is
Sitting on the sofa beside me.
She has tan flannel skin
That is soft to the touch.
She is wearing a green, felt dress
Over a yellow felt shirt and red felt booties
She has brown, yarn hair tied in
A pink flannel bow.
She has black bead eyes,
Brown felt eyebrows,
Pink felt
Cheeks and lavender felt lips
Turned up in a smile.
