OUR VENDORS
A t the heart o f Street Roots' mission are its hard w orking and dedicated vendors. Vendors buy Street Roots fo r 25 cents and sell the paper
fo r $1. M ore than 50 vendors sell Street Roots in the Portland m etro area and Vancouver. Each vendor can be identified by a vendor badge
and each is assigned to a specific territory. Vendors are empowered not only in their w ork to sell the paper, but many also contribute as
w riters and production assistants. The money they earn helps them meet basic housing, food and health care needs.

o f NASNA is to support a street newspaper
movem ent th a t creates and upholds journalistic and
ethical standards w hile prom oting self-help and
em pow erm ent among people living in poverty. INSP
is an umbrella organization th a t provides a
consultancy service fo r its partner papers and
advises on the setting up o f new street papers and
