HOROSCOPES
By Soup Can Sam, staff astrologist
Pisces (Feb. 20-March 20)
It’s that time again — a time of reflection, rejection and
then back to the refection after spending one wyear,
four months and twenty-two days trying to find a job
you are probably overqualified for. And you still didn’t
get it. Whatever you do, don’t pawn off the camping
gear — you may need it sooner rather than later.
A rie s (M a rch 21-A p ril 20) It gets harder and
harder to tell the future. Soup Can hasn’t slept In days
— the pills and booze and weeklong binge on cough
syrup has led to some interesting insights. A lot of
poetry that seemed profound at the time. Looking
back, it really isn’t all that profound at all — just a
sticky notebook with a bunch of chicken scratches.
Don’t be fooled by the drugs and bad poetry written in
the same manner by a Beat Generation who tricked
everyone into thinking that if you get really high and
write that you’ll contribute something to society. You
won’t, they didn’t. Point being — don’t waste a good
high on writing or reading bad poetry.

another horizon after this one, and then another. Try to
S c o rp io (O c t.2 4 -N o v . 2 2 ) It’s hard to say what’s
live in the present the best you can and keep your
best, and to be honest, I’m not sure if it’s even
possible to think of something clever to say to you. It’s
eyes open. The future is nothing more than something
C a n c e r (J u n e 2 2 -J u ly 2 2 ) Papa don’t preach, I

L e o (J u ly 2 3 -A u g . 2 3 ) If all you’re doing is

having a nice lunch. You must be a lucky star. Start
