Why you should support Street Roots!
More than 50 vendors have become housed through the stability and income of selling Street Roots, while more than 250 individuals used the paper to
improve their quality of life in 2009.
We spearheaded a battle that secured housing assistance for 300 people in
Northwest Oregon and led the effort that saved millions of dollars for homeless
services in Portland.
We’ve connected tens of thousands of individuals and families with much needed
services and resources through the Rose City Resource booklet and web site.
We’ve gone the extra mile to report on complex issues, such as affordable
housing, and civil rights.
In a nutshell, Street Roots provides immediate solutions to poverty and
homelessness while working every day to make long-term impact through public
education, advocacy and the building of relationships.
