International Network Of Street Paper honors photography
Nominees were judged on their ablity to evoke deeper perspectives on poverty
and injustice. Awards were given during the INSP Awards event in Bergen,
Norway, May 15.

A beautifully shot image of a hammock rigged up on beach debris - as Vancouver's
lack of affordable housing pushes more and more people onto the streets, this photo
expresses the lengths to which some are driven just tofind a place to steep.

8|| landscape on\the wall of FazencLa Model, â substandard homeless hostel in Rio, is
an ironic contrast to the sad expression on the woman's-face. She was one of 2,500
people who lived there, subjected to degrading living conditions.

on Drugs' organized a protest, -
where a large group of drug | j
addicts gathered together, in
front of Norway's parliament. A
politician who was committed to
the issue finallyfnvited them all ;
in for a talk. The event initiated
a large public'debate about drug
policy and had direct and
immediate political
consequences. The- picture shows
one of the participants entering
the parliament's main door and
encountering One of the security
guards.
