As the trading season ends, and spring training beckons,
the Cubbies seem to be more or less ‘ standing pat’ Yes,
we have the NLM VP, and Amazing Grace, and the Kid,
and more important maybe, a ‘ team’ at last. Last year
one could see the seed o f a ‘ team’ , yes, much like what
the Yankee's put on the field Men at work, to quote
Geo. W ill. When there is glory there is glory for all,
defeat is lonely, but defeat teaches & glory celebrates,
and even in the mad world of baseball one should ‘ dance
with the one that brung ya'. ‘ It ain’ t the cards ya’ got,
it's how ya’ play ’ em, and I'll play these', is the essence
