We wish we had more space to tell you about a lot
of stuff in a lot more detail, like how much we enjoy
the above mentioned KMUN, our listener supported
local radio station, 91.9 on the left of your FM dial.
Programs like The Love of Wisdom, Riders Radio
Theater, Writer's Block, Selected Shorts, Stuck in
the Sixties, all the folk shows, the Blues shows, all
the classic shows, Opera, Talk of the Nation, Fresh
Air, lots of other NPR, and on and on, keep us
informed and happy. Thus we encourage our
readers everywhere to support their local community
radio stations. We do. Which is why we have so
little space this month, we gave it away during the
Pledge Drive. (See page 5 ).
We would also like to go into more detail about the
'No Fishing License' (see page 2 ). This is a real
fun way to help salmon recovery in Oregon, and we
encourage everyone to contact ‘Oregon Promise’
Box 263, Manzanita, OR 97130, for more
information.
And if we had more space and less modesty we
could rant and rave about your beloved editor's new
band The Phoreheads, but you can just check out the
schedule on the music page and plan to see for
yourself what a truly fun band this is.
