    Jim Carrey and His Movies
IN AN UNJUST W ORLD... JUSTICE.
By Rob Milliron

I'm really sorry I haven't written in a while. I have been
very busy with work and school. In school I had to type a 5
page epic poem. I've recently been helping out at the video
store, and on top of all that I help out around the house.
Just recently me and my mother Janet Milliron wanted to
do something so we went to the movies. To my mom it
really didn't matter what movie we watched so I chose "Ace
Ventura: When Nature Calls". Many of my friends were
there and my mom asked if I wanted to go sit with them but
I said no, because I was there with her and was wanting to
spend time with her. You may say that's weird behavior for
most teens. Well, I'm not really the average teenager; I still
like to spend time with my mom and even though she has
her faults I still love her.
Jim Carrey is probably one of the highest paid actors in
Hollywood. He is currently dating Lauren Holly and is
booked for movies for five to ten years. The current movie
out by Jim is "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls".
Jim's first movie, "Rubberface", was a pathetic 45
minute display of wanna-be slapstick comedy gone wrong.
The funniest part of the movie was the overweight girl who
was the main character throughout most of the movie. This
movie I give a one and a half. The half is for the fat girl.
Jim's next co-starring movie was "Earth Girls Are Easy".
Sounds like a slick porno movie, but no, it was a comedy
starring Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum. Jim CarTey and
Damon Wayons have semi star rolls. Three aliens -
Goldblum, Carrey, and Wayans -- land their spaceship in
heartbroken Geena Davis' pool. Geena plays a young
manicurist whose fiance tried to cheat on her so they broke
up. The aliens are covered in colored hair. Geena takes
them to her salon and her hipster friend shaves the hair off
so they look human. Jim plays Wiplock, the surfer alien.
This movie is a hoot from beginning to end. I give this one
eight and a half points.
"Ace Ventura, Pet Detective" was Jim's most popular
role. His crazy antics when saving animals are great. This
movie is a spoof on James Bond, Mission Impossible, and
Get Smart. Ace is Hired by the Miami Dolphins to find
their mascot, Snowflake the Dolphin. This movie is filled
with dumb jokes, slapstick comedy and some pretty low
class disgusting humor. It is a definite ten.
"Ace Ventura 2" was just a litle bit over the top. It starts
out with a parody of the Sylvester Stallone hit
"Cliffhanger". Ace is found scaling a mountain looking for
a raccoon who was in a plane crash. Ace zip-lines between
two cliffs to get the raccoon but when they almost get
across the raccoon's harness starts to break. To find out
what happens next in the scene, go see the movie. Ace is
next found in a monastery, now as a holy man. Here he
becomes employed to find an African tribe's holy white bat.
The rest of the movie is typical Jim Carrey humor, with
lots of physical comedy and laughs. There are other Jim
Carrey movies available for rent at the local video store.
They are all a sure hit for the teenage crowd.

With Christmas coming, movies are a good idea for gifts
and many used movies are for sale at reasonable prices at
video stores. I recommend buying these movies over new
ones because they are lots cheaper and there is a good
selection of old favorites.
Winter is a great time to live on the coast. Take
advantage of the quiet times; the tourist season will be back
all too soon.
