Stop Fort Clatsop Land Grab
In 1978 Congress authorized Fort Clatsop to re la te adjacent parts
of the original Lewis and Clark trail that led from the fort to the
coast, so long as ttx? total area of the park (including any piece o(

case of unrpslra»ied empire buildng, Fort Clatsop’s current admnts-

acres (or over eighteenlold per an alternate plan that would add
2,315 acres) to build a new trail on a route that lacks any historical
basts, re la ln g a mile long section along Sunset Beach Hoad.
Flexng their power of emnenl doman lo condemn and lake

Their less than brilliant solution to havng driven off all the efc s
to take over a place ek do still fnd refuge, and run a hfcng trail

Fort Clatsop ts a good neighbor as a 130 acre educational tounst
facility They should stay that way, and leave our lores! alone, as a
place to earn a sustamabte livelihood r harmony wrth nature. If you
