sociates a society for the “Propa­
gation of the (Roman Catholic)
Faith,” each member agreeing to
contribute one cent a week out of
her scanty wages. Last year the
receipts of that society were, $1,
340,184.27, which were distributed
throughout the world for the
“ Propagation of the Faith.” Never
