new education which seems to have
come to stay, and which teaches
th a t when the brain dies the soul
perishes with it, is another prob­
lem. Men are rapidly losing in te r­
est in the question of im m ortality,
and when approached on the sub­
ject do not seem to be interested.
If interest is bo be aroused in a fu­
ture state, and men convinced of its
existence, mere denial of m a te ria l­
