PUBLIC SERVICE
ANNOUNCEMENT
BUILDING PER-
MIT FEE INCREASES
Th e K l i c k i t a t
County Building De-
partment waived the
annual fee increase
on October 1, 2020,
but will be increasing
fees by 2%, effective
O c t o b e r 1, 2 0 21.
Other fees will in-
c re a s e b y $ 5 . 0 0 ,
while the fee to place
a factory assem-
bled structure, such
as a manufactured
home, will increase
by $25.00.
The Building De-
partment is large-
ly funded by the
C o u n t y ’ s G e n e ra l
Fund. The proposed
increases will not re-
sult in a profit for the
County, but will aid in
covering expenses
of permitting and do-
ing inspections, and
the general costs of
doing daily business.
The fees paid for
permitting and plan
review provide the
services of review-
ing plans for code
compliance, issuing
permits, and per-
forming inspections
during the project.
The Building Depart-
ment also answers
questions you may
have prior to starting
a project.
Additionally, the
fees for recording
documents are due
to increase on July
25, 2021, per RCW
36.22.175. This will
affect the fee for a
Special Outbuilding
Permit.
