(EDA) is considering
a request for Feder-
al assistance from
Columbia Gorge
Community College
(CGCC) to construct
the Health Occupa-
tions Regional Skills
Laborator y in The
Dalles, OR. Pursuant
to the National Envi-
ronmental Policy Act
(NEPA) and the Na-
tional Historic Pres-
ervation Act (NHPA),
EDA is conducting
an assessment of
the potential of the
proposed project to
affect the environ-
ment and/or historic
properties.
To meet the un-
met job demands of
local and regional
health care provid-
ers and employers,
CGCC will renovate
facilities and pur-
chase equipment
that will enable the
expansion of its
health sciences and
paramedic training
programs. The facil-
ity renovation would
contain two stu-
dent meeting rooms
the creation of the
Health Occupations
Regional Skills Lab-
oratory that will pro-
vide hands-on and
simulation training
opportunities for
students.
The project will be
located at CGCC’s
main campus in The
