    Public Notice from the Town of Butte Falls
As of June 20, 2018, the Town of Butte Falls will be accepting filings for candidacy for the
following elected offices:
M ayor for a term of two years.
Council Position #4 for a term of four years.
Council Position #5 for a term of four years.
Council Position #6 for a term of four years.
The term of office of elected officials shall commence on the first council meeting in January,
2019. Persons interested must be, at the time of election, a qualified elector as defined in
Section 2, Article II of the Oregon Constitution and shall have been a resident within the city
limits of Butte Falls for the six month period immediately preceding the November 6, 2018
election. Election packets may be obtained from Butte Falls City Hall, 431 Broad Street,
between the hours of 8 am and 1 pm, M onday through Friday. Completed election filing forms
must be returned to City Recorder Lori Paxton by August 20, 2018 to ensure the filing deadline
for candidacy of the November 6, 2018 General Election is m et with the Jackson County
Elections Office.
