Cascade M ountain Spring W ater, run by D elora Risser (Tejcka) and C urt Tejcka, is in the process of
expanding. They have team ed up w ith The Avalon G roup w hich w orks w ith m ajor retailers, distributors, restaurants and ho
tels (H ilton w ill be using Cascade w ater in its Portland hotel). In addition, Cascade w ill be bottling several different sizes of
bottles and a sparkling w ater. They need to expand their facility and have acquired an investm ent of a m illion dollars. Cas
cade is asking to negotiate a long-term contract w ith us. W e are putting together a w orkgroup to create a contract serving the
interests of both parties and w ill also w ork w ith the tow n attorney.

W eyerhaeuser has agreed to a m eeting to discuss an easem ent for the historic railw ay project.
The regional solutions coordinator from the G overnor's office has agreed to accom pany the railroad m useum representatives
and m yself to the m eeting. W e w ill explore the acquisition of other W eyerhaeuser lands. M y proposal w ill include the falls,
land around the cem etery parcel and land for the bottling plant expansion. If you have additional thoughts on lands w e should
acquire from W eyerhaeuser for our econom ic developm ent, please let m e know . W eyerhaeuser has a team of surveyors in
tow n surveying their holdings. They have agreed to share the results w ith the town.

Adverse C hildhood Experiences Training. H ow have stressful traum atic childhood events shaped your adult life or the
lives of people you know ? Learn w ays to break the cycles and help yourself or others to m ove forw ard. Tuesday,
O ctober 3 rd , 6:30pm to 8:30pm at The Landing - free
Parenting training. The Landing w ill kick off parenting training after the ACEs event. It w ill take place every W ednes
day night from 6:00-8:00 pm for 7 w eeks. C hildcare and dinner are included.
N eighborhood W atch. Learn to create a safer com m unity. The Sheriff's D epartm ent w ill offer N eighborhood W atch
Training at 5:00pm at the C om m unity H all on Septem ber 23. Even if you w ere not at the training you m ay be interest
ed in joining a N eighborhood W atch group
