Anyone who hasn’t picked up their trophy or ribbon please inquire at city hall. Also - left
behind in the park that day were 2 lawn chairs and 2 metal chairs. Please call city hall at
865-3262 to identify and claim.
The Butte Falls Active Club would like to thank all of the participants in the parade this year.
You all looked fantastic and we hope you had fun, even in the heat! A special thanks to the
horse people, we missed you last year and it was great that you could make it this year. We
would also like to thank all of the volunteers that helped us to make that day so special. Dan
& Brian Shafer, Chris Bray for your muscles in moving tables and chairs; Cory Norton, Don
Hamann and Dale Norling for ensuring the log contests went as planned; Judges Bret
McGonagle, Larry Wetgin and Fred Phillips another job well done! Cory Hamann for the
wonderful banners you create every year and Jeany Moore for laminating them; BF Store for
donating all the candy; Jeff Gorman for the hay; Community School Partnership (Danielle
Cozad and Janelie Scofield) for use of the Bingo equipment; Ron Hailicka for use of the flat
bed; the local and valley businesses for donating prizes for Bingo games and anyone else
that we may have temporarily forgotten. We couldn’t have pulled it off without you!! Another
great year! I personally would like to thank all of the Active Club members - Patti Shafer,
Sandy McConochie, Becky Hobbs, Desi Grishman, Bridget McGonagle, Linda Williams and
Ruthanne Bray. You all have put your heart and soul into this club and it really shows! I am
proud to be working along side everyone of you. We always have fun! That and Ibuprohen
gets us through!
