Butte Falls Ranger District Office Moving
On September 28th and 29th, 2004 the employees of the Butte Falls Ranger District will
step back in time....and in place! In an effort to save money, the Ranger District office is moving
into the National Historic Register buildings located on the Forest Service compound on Laurel
Street in Butte Falls. The main office and reception area will be in the ‘green house’ at 730
Laurel Street and will be open to greet visitors beginning 8am on Thursday, September 30th,
2004. An Open House that will highlight decades of local Forest history will be held in the
coming months.
The Butte Falls Ranger District office will be closed on the 28th and 29th. Except for on
September 28th and 29th, the Butte Falls Ranger District can still be reached via phone at
541.865.2700 and by mail at: PO Box 227, Butte Falls, OR 97522.
