From the Butte Falls Fire Department
Because of our wonderfully supportive comm-unity, the
Butte Falls Volunteer Fire Department Benefit, which was
held on August 9 & 10, raised around $2500.00 which will
go towards much needed fire safety equipment and
wildland fire equipment.

The fire department would like to extend a special ‘Thank
You ’ to the following people for their assistance before,
during and after the benefit:
-Butte Falls Tavern, drink donations
-Mike Rodgers & Eric Ellis, putting the softball tournament
together
-Butte Falls Cafe, cooking for the bar-b-q, again
-The Rodgers Clan, for cleaning up garbage after the
tournaments
-Butte Falls Auxiliary for running the concession booth
-Vennea Stephenson, for keeping the stats for the
complete tournament
-Butte Falls Forest Service, for bringing Smokey Bear to

Bums, Sara Mathews and Bonnie Biando, for all of their
help during the tournament
-Last but not least Jeanette Seager wins the award for
being the Best Volunteer Fire Fighter Spouse of the Year
for her help before, during and after the benefit, and
washing that mountain of dirty pots and pans! W ow!
The Butte Falls High School Close Up club earned
$100.00 for their help during the weekend.
Thanks again to all of you for your help, it was a great
weekend and we look forward to seeing all of you next
year!

department is going to start giving 1 st
tim e warnings to people that are
letting their dogs run loose. After the
