M e xico and it w as no p ro b le m g e ttin g o ve r th e b o r
d e r to M e xico , b u t w hen I tire d to g e t back to th e
U n ite d S ta te s th e M ilita ry questioned m e on w h a t
d id I buy in M e xico , w h e re I w as going, on w h a t day

W hen m y g ro u p g o t to th e b o rd e r it w as called
M e xicali. W e had to g e t o ff th e bus so th e M ilita ry
could se a rch it w ith dogs th a t can s n iff o u t chem i
cals, and dangerous m a te rials. A t th a t tim e I fe lt
th a t m y fre e d o m is slo w ly being to rn fro m m y fin
g e rs.

O h one m o re th in g , w hen I b ro u g h t good p u rifie d
w a te r back to th e S ta te s, a M ilita ry P ersonnel cam e
up to m e, and he w as ta ll, and .... w e ll...iu st huge in
tn e sh o u ld e rs. T hen he looked m e rig h t square in
th e eyes and said in a ve ry deep voice "I w a n t you to
d rink th a t w a te r, now !! ” . I th in k he w anted to m ake
su re th a t I w as n o t sm uggling in any C hem icals to
th e S ta tes.
In closing, it w as in te re stin g g e ttin g back hom e.
B u t I w o n d e r if th is tig h t se cu rity w ould be re q u ire d
in m y ow n co u n try, o r m aybe w e w ill need to have
o u r ow n p a ssp o rts fo r going out o f o u r ow n sta te s
