The past few weeks we have had a rash
of problems with young men running
around after curfew. I had to arrest two
young men for fighting and we are now
facing felony assault charges. This past
evening I caught a teenager about to
set fire to a trash-can that had a plastic
gas can inside. This is VERY stupid!
Especially with the condition of the
forest surrounding us. PARENTS be
warned, you can be held financially
responsible for any damages that your
child causes. This could be a very large
amount of DOLLARS when you start
looking at fire supression costs.
On a happy note, Dustin has completed
his academy and will be back on duty.
Dustin ’s priority will be to ensure that
the curfew will be enforced. That means
citing anyone we catch. No more
warnings. The warnings have not
worked and so you have forced us to
act in the only other means that we
have. It will start costing the offender
and the parents money.
