Some of his helpers include the older girls
that when they are not participating they
are helping with the coaching.
When he is not helping with the sports
programs he is doing many other things,
for instance- serving on the school board,
the budget committee, and being on the
Jim Matthews Scholarship Committee.
While he loves to fish and hunt, he really
enjoys taking his boat up to Lost Creek
Lake. He says “there is nothing quite like
cruising into the marina, after a day of
fishing and skiing and watching the
sunset”.
Boy, Jim I got tired just reading about
all that you have done. Linda Matthews
was right, you do deserve to be the
“Citizen of the Month”.
Things do not happen. They
are made to happen.

As most of you have probably
already heard that my wife finally
delivered our baby girl on Friday,
March 9th, 2001. She was named
Peyton Abigail and her weight was
7-lbs. 11 oz and she was 20 inches
long. Baby and mom are doing
great!
That’s right! On April 8th around
1:00 P.M. the Southern Oregon
Studebaker Club will be making
a visit to our town! The vehicles
will be on display around town.
The members will be visiting our
two museums and enjoying lunch
in the park.
Just a reminder that all studded
snow tires must be removed by
April 1,2001. Now that the weather
is starting to get nicer, we will see
children playing everywhere
including in the streets. Please be
aware and drive cautiously.
Anyone able to direct them to
additional vehicles, or parts, is
very welcome. Or if you want to
just come check them out....
please do!
David Teresi has been hired by
Shady Cove and he will be leaving
us soon. David goes to work at
Shady Cove as of the 1st of April. I
want to personally thank him for the
outstanding job he as done in
working with the kids of Butte Falls.
I know that they will remember him
for many years to come. I hope they
take his advice to heart and use the
knowledge that he has tried
to instill in them to bigger and better
things.
