MJE IBS Emergency Services Butte Falls Volunteer Ambulance On August 10th, the Butte Falls Ambulance will be holding their 2nd Annual Benefit Auction. We’ll be in the park next to all the goodies. If you can believe it, we have more stuff than last year!!! Watch for the flyers around town for times and other added attractions. Some of the items we have include; a lawn edger, a tent screen to keep out those pesky pests on your picnics, bikes, chairs, desks, cooking range, clothes, duck decoys, and much, much more! We thank all of you that donated to our cause. Put this date on your calendar, and tell your friends! One of the reasons we are in need of funds is to support three eager students. John Adams, Troy Black (or is that Todd...no, Bruce..... ) and Jim Schloesser. They will begin school this September in Grants Pass. We all wish them well, and can’t wait until they are on board! We also welcome Georgia Fewer, and EMT with much experience. All four of these new folks are ’■eager to respond, but their participation costs money. Where did our summer go? Things have been pretty quiet around the Fire Hall and that is a very good thing. The Fourth of July Parade we got to see a lot of you having a good time and enjoying all of the events. We are dedicated to serve each and every one of you, and are very proud to be part of this great town. Thanks so much for your support! It’s still fire season so that means NO BURNING!!! Ad since so many of you have wood burning stoves this is a good time to clean your chimney’s and inspect them for any damage or weakened areas. Here at the Fire Hall we have chimney cleaning brushes that we lend out. If you need to borrow them just contact any of your local firefighters. They’ll be glad to sign them out to you. Every two weeks we meet to train and discuss anything that might concern our Fire Department. As members of he community your are more than welcome to stop by and check things out. So remember every other Tuesday at 6:30 pm, c’mon by and see what your Volunteer Fire Department does to keep sharp the skills that they have learned. Who knows? You might even join up!!!
