F R O M T H E M A R S H A L ’S D E S K Marshal Bill Johnson reminds us that there is an ordinance in Butte Falls that prohibits dogs from running at large. The City Council has instruct ed him to enforce this ordinance. When he takes an animal into protective custody, he must make sure that the animal is not abused. Holding the animal in the open dog pen during severe weather conditions is a form of abuse. He will have to send the animal to the Jackson County Animal Control Shelter instead of leav ing it in the pen for any extended periods of time. So, please everyone, keep an eye on your dogs and make sure they do not run around town without a leash. This will also save you from having to pay a fine for violating the ordi nance. Every month we have kept you up on the prog ress jof this great project. Now it’s time to men tion the community involvement. We have had numerous volunteers that have come forward, donating unselfishly of their time. We wish to pay tribute to them. The album will be available at City Hall when it is finished. Our thanks go out to all the commu nity members who helped to make this possi ble!!! THAIIIOD! T O W N R E C O R D E R , R O B E R T A ’S N E W S City Hall is still open all day on Wednesday, however, there is not much activity after noon. The drop box on the front of the building is usefull for paying water and sewer payments at any time. There will be a public hearing on the zone change for 515 Broad Street from residential to commercial on M ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA a y 1 1 th a t 7 :0 0 p m .
