EIGHT FARM LABORERS TO GRADUATE IN WELDING

"These particular students are
very eager and receptive," said
Glenn Welliver, Instructor at Salem
Tech., "and I enjoy having them in
my class. Upon completion of the
course, October 28, these men w ill
go out and secure good jobs,
which w ill not only improve their
income, but w ill also give their chil
dren a head start for a better fu
ture."
Yes, these eight farm laborers
w ill soon be employed in produc
tion welding and shipyard weld
ing, earning from $2.50 an hour to
$3.40 an hour — a giant step in
their lives, and a profitable one.
