the Opportunity News office?

was during the Oregon V training

Valley
Migrant
League.
I have finally settled down in a
small town named Dungannon in
Virgina. Can you send me a copy
of the Opportunity News each time
it is published? 1 am interested in
what is happening in the Valley

VOTERS MEETING
Saturday, May 21, 1966, there
w ill be a meeting for the voters of
Marion County at the Woodburn
Opportunity Center. All persons
who have registered to vote on
May 24th w ill have received their
voter's pamphlets.
The meeting
w ill start at 6:30 in the evening.
We w ill talk about issues and can
didates. We w ill tell you where
and when to vote. You w ill decide
how to vote. This is important to
you and your family.

VML center in Sandy, met recently,
with the migrant council that has
previously worked in the Sandy
area. This group, the East Multno
mah-North
Clackamas
Migrant
Council, voted to turn over all of
their day care equipment to VML.

tunity News.
We were in your valley last
March and plan to visit again this
summer. We were favorably im
pressed with your area. Your agri
culture is so much different from
ours. We have a greater appreci
ation for our west coast products
since our visit there.

cial Studies class. We study Latin
America and we are learning some
Spanish, so your newspaper is a
very interesting and practical aid.
We especially like the English-Span
ish writing of the same items. It is
a great idea. Keep up the good
work!

The Oregon State Employment
Service gave aptitude tests to four
people on May 9 and 10 at the
Woodburn center. These new tests
were to find out what skills a per
son has for work.
