Dale Flowers might have had a shot at this year's Pulitzer Prize for cartooning
except that this newspaper does not qualify as a “United States newspaper —
in print or online — that appears daily, Sunday or at least once a week during
the calendar year,” as prescribed by the Pulitzer Prize board. Which is too bad,
because his work certainly does qualify and deserves a chance to compete
for the prize for his “originality, editorial effectiveness, quality of drawing and
pictorial effect." ~MPMc
