For Sam and Stephanie Brown's
17th
Wedding
Anniversary,
Stephanie bought tickets for them
and the two oldest children to go
down river with Hells Canyon Ad
ventures. Stephanie had hoped on
the trip they would see a bear. Well
the trip was fabulous, they went all
the way down to Kirkwood Mu
seum and yes, they saw a nice big
bear. Then on their way home
coming up the canyon, there were
two darling little cubs peeking
around a tree. Stephanie really
wanted to get out of the car and get
closer, but they knew Mama was
If you cart see the mountains, you
are not in Halfway. The smoke has
been amazing, but so have the
fires. The fire has been active for
well over a week with no contain
ment. As of Sunday, the big guns
arrived (helicopters and planes)
which have been dropping water
and retardant. Hopefully they will
be doing the same today (Tues
day).
Hells Canyon Three Series
Playday
Deania Corrigan from the Hells
Canyon 3 Series Playday shared
the following: What a beautiful
night at the Pine Valley Fair
Grounds Wednesday Night for our
last playday. After a few storms we
made it.
We had 35 kids at the last Play-
day. I want so very much to thank
each of our sponsors for our out
standing prizes. Thanks also go to
the many volunteers. We had such
a fun group. Also to all the parents
and kids, and to Doug Payton and
Jake Rowen for grooming the
arena.

Ending
The weeks have just been flying
by. Hard to believe that summer is
almost over and school is starting.
Let's end this week with this
thought - Time is the coin of your
life. It is the only coin you have,
and only you can determine how it
will be spent. Be careful lest you
let other people spend it for you.
