Warner pegged for RCC SBDC team
Rogue Community
College (RCC) Small Business
Development Center Director
(SBDC) Ron Goss is pleased
to announce that recently
retired banker, Deelia Warner
has joined the RCC SBDC’s
business advising team.
“Deelia is a well-
respected member of our
local community, and offers
a wealth of banking, business
assistance, and personal
relationship experience with
many of our businesses and
community leaders here in
Southern Oregon.”
Warner’s banking career
began in 1984 and for the
last 15 years she was the
vice president of Community
Banking Relationships for
U.S. Bank, serving Josephine,
Jackson and Curry county
business clients.
Warner is a strong
believer in giving back to
her community, and has
volunteered for many years
with several local agencies,
including United Way of
Jackson County, Siskiyou
Community Health Center,
Boys and Girls Club of the
Rogue Valley, among others.
She is a past president of the
Illinois Valley Rotary Club and
was a participant in the Ford
Family Foundation Leadership
Program, helping to build a
9-hole Disc Golf Course in the
Illinois Valley.
In 2009, she was
honored by the Jackson
County Commissioners for
her outstanding volunteer
work for a number of Jackson
County organizations, and
for previously serving as the
president of the Medford
Kiwanis Club.
Warner is also
currently a member of the
Rogue Community College
Foundation Board, and will
continue to participate as a
member of the RCC SBDC
Advisory Council.
In commenting about her
new role as an SBDC business
advisor, Warner said, “Having
worked with small business
owners for most of my career
in banking, I found the
business advisers at the SBDC
to be invaluable partners in
helping my clients become
more successful in managing
their businesses, or in making
their dreams of becoming an
entrepreneur a reality. Now
that I’ve joined the SBDC
team, I can continue following
my passion for helping small
business owners in whatever
way possible.”
Goss further noted,
“From a Director’s
perspective, I could not
imagine a more qualified and
ideal candidate than Deelia to
join our team”.
Warner’s favorite
activity living in the Rogue
Valley is “exploring all the
nooks and crannies of this
beautiful valley we are so
fortunate to call home.” Deelia
and her family live in the
picturesque Illinois Valley,
where her family settled in
the early 1900s. She likes
to keep busy, going on road
trips and enjoying the rivers,
vineyards and the surrounding
mountains.
