custody via taser point and detained
in Josephine County Jail (JCJ) for a
misdemeanor warrant from Josephine
County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) for
failure to appear for fourth-degree
assault and escape. His girlfriend
phoned JCSO dispatchers and
complained about his arrest; she was
warned of misuse of 911.
*Dwayne Wilson, 52, was
arrested at 3:51 p.m. in the 100
block of N. Caves Avenue. Wilson
was detained in JoCo Jail for felony
driving while suspended.

Monday, Nov. 12
*On Nov. 6, a fellow in the
1300 block of Crooks Creek Road
saw that the lock was cut on his gate.
On Nov. 11, the crooks returned and
cut locks on his barn, pumphouse,
and tool shed. They stole several
Stihl products, including a chainsaw,
pole saw, and brush cutter. A report
was filed for first-degree theft and
second-degree mischief.
*The driver of a gold-colored
Toyota SUV or 4Runner ran into a
gray Toyota Corolla in the Western
Plaza parking lot at 4:25 p.m. She
left without exchanging information,
so the hit-and-run incident is under
investigation.

Tuesday, Nov. 13
*When Jared Mitchell Davis,
20, found out that he was under arrest
at 2:12 p.m., he scurried into a house
in the 100 block of N. Boundary
Avenue. Davis was taken into

Redwood Hwy. Anthony Gribisz III,
30, was arrested at 5:20 a.m. and
detained in JCJ on charges of first-
degree criminal mischief.
*A first-aid kit, tools, and CDs
were stolen from a vehicle parked in
front of Kerby Belt Building between
Nov. 8-9.
*A white 1995 Jeep Cherokee
disappeared overnight from a
driveway in the 500 block of W.
River Street.
*A thoughtful house-sitter
left a note apologizing for stealing
property from a home in the 300
block of S. Kerby Avenue. She
absconded with Oxycodone, a black
Glock .380 firearm, and $1,500. A
report was filed for first-degree theft
and first-degree burglary.
*Katherine D. Rodriguez,
20, was arrested at 11:22 a.m. near
Lurline Lane and Laurel Road.
Rodriguez was detained in JCJ for a
JCSO warrant for failure to appear
for elude.
*Four visitors were warned for
camping out in their vehicle with
Pennsylvania license plates. They
had been parked near S. Hussey
Avenue and W. Watkins Street for
several days.
*A white 2010 Honda Accord
with Florida plates broke down near
Deer Creek Road and Redwood Hwy.
on Nov. 12. When the owner returned
the next day, the Honda was gone.
*Kyle Nelson, 27, was arrested
near Waldo Road and Suncrest Drive
at 2:48 p.m. Nelson was detained in
JCJ for probation detainer.
*A fugitive was cited and
released in lieu of arrest near
Redwood Hwy. and Krauss Lane at
3:27 p.m. Travers Davis-Johnson
had a warrant from Butte Falls
Municipal Court for failure to appear
for no valid operator’s license and
driving uninsured. He was also
wanted by Jackson County for failure
to appear for first-degree theft.
Travers was also cited for driving
while suspended-violation, and then
warned for speed and following too
closely.
Thursday, Nov. 15
*A woman woke up to find
that her red 2003 Dodge Neon was
missing from the 400 block of S.
Redwood Hwy. Front desk personnel
advised that they saw two men
pushing her car down the road at 4
a.m. (Nothing unusual about that,
right?) Her undamaged Dodge was
recovered off the roadway nearby.
*An abandoned Honda Civic
was being used as a shelter for drug
activities and huffing in the 100
block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 9:08
a.m.
*Trespassers lit a fire in the
empty lot in the 100 block of S.
Hussey Avenue. An employee with
the U.S. Post Office stamped out the
flames at 9:29 a.m.
Friday, Nov. 16
*A 1996 GMC pickup truck
was stolen from the 5400 block of
Deer Creek Road at 1:14 a.m. Nov.
4, according to camera footage. An
alert neighbor spotted the truck in
the 9000 block of Caves Hwy., and

the GMC was recovered, minus the
license plate.
Saturday, Nov. 17
*At 5:39 a.m. the former
manager of a business in the 25000
block of Redwood Hwy. was
trespassing and chanting about being
the Son of God.
*A gal with warrants was given
a temporary “Get out of jail free”
card following her arrest in the 100
block of S. Redwood Hwy. At 1:16
p.m. Lori Ann Taylor, 53, was cited
and released to appear Dec. 20 for
failure to appear for dangerous drugs.
Taylor was also cited to appear Dec.
1 for a felony warrant from JCSO for
failure to appear for possession of a
controlled substance-meth.
Sunday, Nov. 18
*A jogger was attacked and
bitten at 8:30 a.m. by two dogs that
ran out of the woods near the 6500
block of Lakeshore Drive.
*A woman set a good example
when she returned a bicycle that
was found in the 24000 block of
Redwood Hwy. at 3:31 p.m. She
suspected that the bike was stolen,
and she was correct.
