*Folks in the 1800 block
of Caves Hwy. thought it was
a lot of bull when a guy in
a white Chevy pickup truck
pulled up to their driveway
at 9:19 a.m. He claimed he
was from Fresno, and he was
offering to sell them chicken or
beef.
*A mother in Michigan
was worried about her son,
who was traveling in Oregon
with his girlfriend and a dog.
A knowledgeable individual in
Jubilee Park saw their photo
and recognized the couple
and their puppy Ophelia. He
mentioned that they were
heading south, hitch-hiking to
somewhere in California. The
mom was relieved to hear that
they looked fine and healthy,
just a bit dirty from their
travels.
*Residents in the 3600
block of Lakeshore Drive
hired a dog trainer in Olympia,
Washington to evaluate their
American Indian dog “Cobolt”.
A kennel owner refused to
return the canine, claiming
their home was not a good fit
for the animal. A civil attorney
will be consulted to make
heads or tails of the situation.

*An individual in the
14000 block of Summit Loop
obtained information through
Craigslist that his trailer was
at a location in Cave Junction.
The home owner at that
site allowed a search of his
property, but the trailer was not
found. The resident claimed
that he had been getting
numerous reports regarding
stolen property, particularly
motorcycles. He has an open
case with Jackson County to
determine who is slandering
him and posting false claims
on the website.
*A gal in the 200 block
of Logan Cut Drive took a
book without permission from
the Grants Pass Bureau of
Land Management Office on
October 31. The incident was
on video, so a charge of third-
degree theft will be referred to
the District Attorney’s office.

*A fellow living in
Canyonville bought a house
in the 7000 block of Takilma
Road. He hired someone to
stay at the new residence for a
couple of weeks, until he could
move. He was involved in a
disturbance on the freeway,
and now the fellow has a no-
contact order against him. The
people he hired are refusing
to leave his newly purchased
house, and he claimed they
took a U-Haul truck with his
Romanian SKS 7.62x .39 rifle,
Remington pellet rifle, washer,
dryer, refrigerator, chest
freezer, fire safe with titles,
and a 43-inch TV from Costco.
*A chap in the 100 block
of Cowboy Way will consider
obtaining a stalking order
against the revolutionary in the
400 block of Queen of Bronze
Road that keeps shooting his
black powder cannon.
*On November 20, a
careless thief tried to steal
a 1988 Toyota pickup truck
parked in the 200 block
of Cedar Brook Lane. He
destroyed the ignition, and
left behind a hammer and
screwdriver.
*The window was
broken, and a purse, iPhone
7, and wallet were stolen
from a vehicle at 143 S.
Redwood Hwy. on November
27. A report was filed for
unauthorized entry into a
motor vehicle, second-degree
criminal mischief, and first-
degree theft. The iPhone was
recovered, and the store owner
signed a trespass letter.
Wednesday, Nov. 29
*At 9:23 a.m., a concerned
citizen reported a 1995 Ford
F-150 pickup truck with
a male slumped over the
wheel in the 100 block of
Illinois River Road. Medics
responded and confirmed
that two people in the truck

another vehicle from the same

of Public Safety recovered
some items, and a report
was filed for second-degree
burglary, attempted UUMV,
first-degree criminal mischief,
and second-degree theft.
*On Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m.
