HARE
...
Continued from A-1
He also loved to sing barber shop music
and was a member of the Rogue Valley
Harmonizers for many years. And for more
than a decade, he volunteered with Evergreen
Elementary School fourth-graders, sharing
his passion for music and helping to support
music appreciation and performance. Together,
Denny and Evie regularly walked a stretch of
the Caves Hwy and picked up litter in front of
the Oxbow Ranch; it was an activity they also
shared when they traveled. There is always an
empty trash bag in their vehicle!
He is survived by his wife, Evie Hare
of Cave Junction; three children and three
grandchildren; four sisters, Patricia Streeter of
Tarzana, Calif.; Sandi Hare of Anaheim, Calif.;
Gloria McMillan and Eva Crouthamel of San
Diego, Calif.; many nieces and nephews and
grandnieces and nephews.
Denny wished to be cremated, with no
fanfare; his ashes will be shared with members
of his immediate family. It’s the kind of man
he was…Hare today, gone tomorrow. But for
the rest of us, a community Celebration of
Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at 2
p.m. at a location yet to be determined in Cave
Junction.
Condolences and more questions about
the Celebration of Life can be sent to the
family at care4DennyHare@gmail.com. In
lieu of flowers, financial contributions can
be made to the Evergreen Elementary School
Music Department. On behalf of our husband,
father, brother and uncle we invite everyone
to express your love for each other and for
life…and to encourage people to stop littering
and pick up trash wherever you find it!
