*On July 21 at 9 p.m. a fellow was driving
in the 2500 block of Reeves Creek Road when
he saw muzzle flashes and heard five shots
directed at him from a red vehicle with a white
roof. He claimed that he would have returned
fire, but he was unsure of his backdrop. He
notified Oregon State Police, but they could not
find any shell casings.
*A home owner in the 200 block of
Jeannie Way found a small, manufactured,
single-axle, Eagle-brand trailer on her property

*Richard Scott Moore, 51, was detained in
Josephine County Jail following his arrest in the
400 block of E. River Street at 3:16 p.m. Moore
had a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear
on menacing charges.
*Joseph David Ainsworth, 38, had a
felony warrant for failure to appear on charges
of first-degree criminal mischief and second-
degree burglary. He was arrested at Jubilee Park
at 3:54 p.m. and detained at Josephine County
Jail.
*A gal phoned 911 because a guy in a blue
van followed her to her work place near Waldo
Road and Takilma Road at 4:17 p.m. She feels
harassed because he gave her a lecture about her
driving. (Well, if the shoe fits, wear it.)
*Residents in the 300 block of W. Lister
Street reported an unwanted visitor at 4:25
p.m. A big, tall guy with short black hair and
goatee knocked on one door and threatened the
occupant. The bold fellow walked through a
gal’s apartment, then down Palmer Street. He
was last seen wearing a gray hat, shorts, and
maroon shirt with a character design. This has
been an ongoing situation, so law enforcement
suggested taking photos if it was safe to do so.

*On July 26, a chap recovered his stolen
white Honda Accord from Rockydale Road at
7:10 p.m. Tools and other property had been
removed from his Honda, and a tire was found
50 yards away, but he was able to drive it home.
*Even though he had been told not
to come onto property in the 4200 block of
Lakeshore Drive, a husband was destroying
items in a house there at 1:34 p.m. When he
left, he hit his wife’s car with his silver-colored
Oldsmobile Integra. She stated that he pulled
her hair, with no other physical contact, and
there were no damages to her car or property.
She was provided with information regarding
restraining orders.
*A visitor from Washington was driving
a car with California license plates on Illinois
River Road at 5:32 p.m. When she rounded a
corner, her vehicle was straddling the center
stripe, causing a deputy to drive off pavement
to avoid a collision. He watched her repeat this
maneuver on two more corners before stopping
her. She wasn’t even intoxicated. She explained
that she was borrowing the vehicle, and not
comfortable driving it.

*The manager of Josephine County Parks
requested assistance from Josephine County
Sheriff’s Office to trespass numerous campers
from Pine Cone Drive. Posting a “Notice to
Vacate” sign is not going to do the trick.
*License plates for a Honda Accord were
on a red Honda Civic with a loud exhaust
at 11:54 a.m. near S. Redwood Hwy. and
E. Watkins Street. A deputy instructed the
individual to put the plates on the correct
vehicle, and to report the incident to his
probation officer.
*At 12:24 p.m. a character in the 28400
block of Redwood Hwy. was trespassed from
Josephine County Animal Control because he
made threats to the employees.
Saturday, July 29
*An 84-year-old man was confirmed
deceased in the 14000 block of Thompson
Creek Road.
