A stolen vehicle report was mailed to the registered owner in Hillsboro, Oregon. *A citizen reported a suspicious character, who was warned for his driving status near Schumacher Street and E. Forks Circle at 1:06 p.m. *A deputy checked on vehicles in the 600 block of Schumacher Street at 1:14 p.m. *At 2:45 p.m. an employee in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. reported a younger guy who stated that he was lost and confused. He was not violent at all, but he appeared to be under the influence of something. He said he did have a friend to stay with, and he was only trying to stay out of the rain. *Law enforcement could not locate a guy with a backpack and brown jacket who was seen riding a bicycle on Caves Hwy. at 3:01 p.m. *The driver of a black Chevy pickup truck was stopped by law enforcement at 3:17 p.m. in the 1500 block of Caves Hwy. He gave his key and consent for the deputy to enter his home and retrieve his identification. He was warned for failure to carry and present ID, and for improper display. *A motorist in a mini-van failed to stop and overshot in the wrong direction at the intersection of Redwood Hwy. and Reeves Creek Road. The windshield was broken out, and the vehicle was parked facing the wrong direction in the road at 3:49 p.m. *Everything was OK at 222 W. Lister Street at 4:18 p.m. *Law enforcement investigated a vehicle in the rock pit near the 2500 block of Waldo Road at 4:45 p.m. *A deputy caught up with a guy in Jubilee Park at 5 p.m. David Lawrence Wall, 50, was cited and released in lieu of being detained. He is scheduled to appear at Josephine County Circuit Court for failure to appear, driving while under the influence of intoxicants, and reckless driving. Outside the Valley *Nineteen entries. Thursday, April 20 *SOS reported an activated panic alarm from Papa’s Dispensary in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 9:24 a.m. It was an accident. *Muffled sounds could be heard during a 911 call from the 600 block of E. River Street at 12:42 p.m. *Two guys in a lifted black Ford pickup truck were pulling a trailer loaded with pallets that were not strapped down well. A heavily- tattooed fellow wearing a reflective vest seemed to be casing houses when they were seen driving near Redwood Hwy. and Airport Drive at 2:20 p.m. Outside the Valley *Fifteen incidents. Friday, April 21 *A brown-haired gal wearing a yellow hoodie and gray pants was lying face-down on the side of Redwood Hwy. near Burch Drive at 11:19 a.m. Oregon State Police (OSP) was advised. *A damsel phoned 911 from the 200 block of O’Brien Road at 11:32 a.m. She complained that a man had her belongings, and he would not let her leave, then she hung up. *At 2:50 p.m. a citizen flagged down a deputy from the 2100 block of Laurel Road. Saturday, April 22 *Cannaguard Security reported triggered alarms from Remedy Ranch in the 2700 block of Holland Loop at 9:43 a.m. An employee with a construction company had no password or passcode, and said it was the 2600 block. *An 18-month-old child was playing with a telephone in the 300 block of S. Old Stage Road, and dialed 911 at 11:19 a.m. *Someone reported a text message at 12:27 p.m. stating there was a burglary in process, and a stranger was lying on his bed at his residence in the 500 block of Lister Way. When a deputy responded, the resident had no clue what he was referring to, and was going to have a talk with his friend who sent the text. *At 12:30 p.m. an unskilled driver lost control of a black vehicle, which rolled over an embankment and into a tree in the 6400 block of Takilma Road. Ten feet of guardrail was destroyed. His parents were provided with a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) form to fill out. *A DMV nightmare occurred in the 400 block of Schumacher Street at 2:05 p.m. A driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device (stop sign), failure to carry and present identification, no proof of insurance, and no current proof of registration. Fortunately, the passenger had a valid driver’s license, and was given permission to drive the vehicle. *A dame representing a political party was canvassing the 200 block of Ollis Road, but she refused to leave one property at 2:20 p.m. She ignored very clear signs stating no soliciting, so one resident asked if he could physically remove her from his property. Law enforcement advised that he could not legally do so by putting hands on her, which frustrated the caller. (Time to check the water sprinkler?) *At 2:21 p.m. a custodial issue turned into a physical disturbance in the 100 block of Hogue Drive. There was a cat fight between a mother and daughter, following a Department of Human Services placement of children with their grandmother. *The stolen blue Ford Explorer was located and towed from the 400 block of Waters Creek Road at 4:15 p.m. *SOS reported an alarm from the front door of the Fountain of Life Church at 5:30 p.m. Outside the Valley *Nineteen items. Sunday, April 23 *A deputy checked camps in the Eight Dollar Mountain area at 10:54 a.m. *The Grayback area on Caves Hwy. was patrolled at 12:41 p.m. *Two people were warned regarding alcohol consumption and trespassed from Jubilee Park at 1:01 p.m. They were also warned for camping, and began packing up to move. *The driver of a white Honda Accord with no license plates was pulled over by JCSO at 1:52 p.m. in a parking lot at 380 Caves Hwy. Horton was cited for violation of driving while license was suspended (DWS-V), and warned for failure to signal, and failure to carry proof of registration and insurance. *A motorist in a green Ford Taurus was stopped behind the Going Deep Restaurant at 520 S. Redwood Hwy. at 2:13 p.m. He was cited for DWS-V, and warned for failure to carry proof of insurance and registration. *Everything was fine in the Illinois River Road area at 2:21 p.m. *A resident in the 100 block of Mesa Verde Drive complained of creeps that had been harassing him for a while. They drove up to his gate in a white low-rider pickup truck with tinted windows and black rims, and one of them pushed him. They no longer live at the Fernwood Drive address on file with the DMV. All he knows is they hang out around Cave Junction, but he will contact law enforcement if there are any further problems. *Illinois Valley Funeral Directors assisted with an 82-year- old woman who died in the 5100 block of Dick George Road. *A Honda Accord was parked in violation of City of Cave Junction ordinance in the 100 block of S. Hussey Avenue at 2:35 p.m. *The operator of a Toyota pickup truck was pulled over at 1989 Holland Loop at 3:18 p.m. He was warned for improper display and failure to show proof of insurance. *A motorist in a black Toyota SR5 with no license plates was pulled over at Old Stage Road and Madrona Drive at 4:37 p.m. He was cited for failure to carry insurance, defective lighting, and failure to register a vehicle. *A lead-footed driver in a Hyundai was warned for speeding at 5:19 p.m. near the intersection of Redwood Hwy. and Laurel Road. *Jubilee Park was OK at 5:25 p.m. *A Californian in a gray Cadillac was warned for no front license plate and an obscured rear plate at 5:34 p.m. near Caves Hwy. and S. Junction Avenue. *Another Californian was pulled over in a gray Volt at 5:47 p.m. at 25658 Redwood Hwy. He was warned for speeding, and passing in a no-passing zone. *The driver of a brown Ford pickup truck tried to dodge law enforcement by ducking off Hwy. 199 into the parking lot of Ray’s Food Place at 110 Deer Creek Road at 6:03 p.m. It didn’t work; he was cited for DWS/V, no insurance and expired registration.
