at himself in the bathroom at
Jubilee Park at 9:28 a.m.
*Extra patrol was requested
for vacant property in the 300
block of S. Kerby Avenue,
due to problems with tres-
passers and would-be camp-

ing to herself and jumping out

a black jacket and knee-high
rubber boots. There was no
evidence of a crime.
*Trespassers on Golf Club
Drive were given a second
notice, and advised to pack
up and move within 24 hours.
They had quite a few items in
their camp in the wooded area
behind the Dollar General at
4:54 p.m.
*Law enforcement checked
the wooded area near a stor-
age facility in the 25000
block of Redwood Hwy. at
5:09 p.m.

wearing black boots, blue
leggings and a black shirt was

was taking advantage of her.
He left in a white SUV.
*At 10:11 a.m. a mom
reported that she was driv-
ing on Holland Loop when
a guy in a large black truck
shot out her windshield. He
was wearing a black leather

truck had damage to the front
left bumper. She was OK, but
having a panic attack because
her baby was in the car with
her at the time.

WHERE’S
THE ALARM?
The volunteers and staff of the
Illinois Valley Fire District
Responded to these recent Emergency calls
terrorizing a guy walking his
puppy. Other neighbors also
complained of the aggres-

so the matter was referred
to Josephine County Animal
Control.
*It was reported that be-
tween Jan. 30-31, a trespasser
set up camp 50 feet east of
the parking lot at Wild River
Pizza in the 200 block of N.
Redwood Hwy.
*When a home care person
left her job in the 27000

his phone calls, so he hired a
locksmith.

block of N. Sawyer Avenue

gal in a dark-colored car.
Outside the Valley
*Thirty situations.
Wednesday, Feb. 1
*The noise pollution in the
9300 block of Takilma Road
has escalated from loud bass
music. The sounds of an ore
rock tumbler and the screech-
ing of a corrugated steel gate
are grating on the nerves of a
neighbor. Numerous com-
plaints have reportedly been
filed the past two years, to no
avail. Law enforcement ad-

*A legally-separated couple
from Westside Road had an
altercation at 11:32 a.m. The
husband was recently con-
ditionally released from jail,
with an order for no contact
with his wife. He and their
adult children left in a red
1997 Ford F-250 with a blue
tarp covering his belongings.
The wife just bought the truck
in her name only, so there
were no license plates, just
a temporary tag in the back.
The husband broke a window,
used a knife on the door, then
destroyed tires on the truck.
He was not indicted on charg-
es of fourth-degree domestic
assault because someone did
not appear for the Grand Jury.
He was released and agreed
to get the truck running again,
and Jerry’s Tow Company re-
inflated the tires. The prob-
lem with the truck was a civil
issue, and the wife was cited
to the Circuit Court in Grants
Pass on her warrants.
*Folks in Cave Junction
received a fraudulent phone
call, supposedly from a legal
carrier for the county who
said that legal action was
pending. A message was
recorded on their answering
machine with requirements
and an 800-number.
*An elderly guy wearing a
black long-sleeved shirt was
in a black Toyota 4-Runner
in the drive-through at Dairy
Queen at 2:45 p.m. He had
gray hair, beard and mustache
and was wearing glasses. He
backed into an employee’s
vehicle, then threatened to
run over someone who tried
to keep him until law enforce-
ment arrived. When the man-
ager and employee confronted
him, he stated that he did not
want the police contacted
because he would end up
going back to jail for 45 days
due to a prior DUII arrest. He
offered to pay for the dam-
age he caused, but then he
drove away. Employees took
pictures of the geezer and his
vehicle. A report was filed for
failure to leave name at scene
of accident.
*A 911 call was received
at 3:53 p.m. from the 1100
block of N. Old Stage Road.
When the dispatcher asked
for the caller’s name, she
apologized, said it was her
friend that called, and hung
up the phone. The deputy
found an empty lot at the
location of the call.
*A child could be heard
saying “Mommy” during a
911 call from the 200 block
of N. Old Stage Road at 5:04
p.m.
