Monday, Jan. 23
*A deceased 71-year-old
man was found in the 31000
block of Redwood Hwy. at
9:03 a.m.
*At 10:20 a.m. a deputy
drove by the 2500 block of
Westside Road.
*The 3200 block of Waldo
Road was patrolled at 10:36
a.m.
*A deputy checked the area
from Sherier Road to Fern-
wood Drive at 10:59 a.m.
*The driver of a Chevy
pickup truck was warned for
violation of the basic rules of
the road on Redwood Hwy. at
Pinewood Way at 11:35 a.m.
*Indian Creek Road and
Draper Valley Road passed
inspection at 12:01 p.m.
*A Facebook fan saw a
post that a black VW Golf
was stolen, and reported one
matching the description
heading towards Grants Pass
on Hwy. 199 at 12:10 p.m. An
older male in his late 40s was
driving the suspicious-looking
vehicle.
*Lake Selmac was patrolled
at 12:23 p.m.
*A landlord requested extra
patrol of property in the 200
block of Caves Avenue at 2:23
p.m. The property owner had
been told that many unsavory
characters, including sex
offenders and thieves, were
staying at the trailer. They had
tapped into someone else’s
electricity, and they were cited
for stealing water services
from the city of Cave Junction.
An eviction was in the works.
*A motorist in a black car
with no license plates was
warned for failure to carry
registration paperwork at 3:13
p.m. in the 23500 block of
Redwood Hwy.
*Hussey Avenue and
Schumacher Street were clear
at 3:52 p.m.
*The operator of an off-
road vehicle was warned for
being on the roadway near the
O’Brien County Store at 4:29
p.m.
*A deputy did not locate an
Isuzu Trooper at 126 S. Red-
wood Hwy. at 4:29 p.m.
*At 4:52 p.m., a deputy was
out with an individual at N.
Caves Avenue and E. Lister
Street.
Outside the Valley
*Twenty-one incidents.
Tuesday, Jan. 24
*At 10:54 a.m., it was
reported that food and cases
of meat were taken overnight
from the 25000 block of Red-
wood Hwy. The front window
was broken, and a campfire
had been built outside. The
brazen burglars took time to
cook and make coffee. A report
was filed for second-degree
charges of burglary, theft, and
mischief.
*A busy-body thought a

3000 blk FISH HATCHERY RD, Structure Fire
100 blk SHADYWOOD DR, Structure Fire
2016 Harley Davidson motor-
cycle in a workshop in the 100
block of Shadywood Drive
was stolen. Law enforcement
determined that the resident
rightfully owned the bike.
*Josephine County Sheriff’s
Office (JCSO) assisted with an
arrest at 202 S. Redwood Hwy.
at 12:25 p.m. A probation of-
ficer transported the subject to
Asante Three Rivers Medical
Center in Grants Pass.
*Recently installed equip-
ment was reportedly stolen
from a marijuana processing
facility in the 2600 block of
Holland Loop between Jan.
13-17. Security cameras were
disabled due to snow and pow-
er outages during that time,
so there is no record of the
theft. Missing items included
an Ideal brand air humidifier
worth $3,600; two 220 V dual
humidifiers valued at $5,600;
and Siemens electrical panels.
*An employee with the Jose-
phine County Public Defend-
er’s Office went to interview
an individual in the 600 block
of Sherwood Avenue at 2:39
p.m. When a guy opened the
door, a gal locked a sliding
door, preventing access.
*A deputy investigated in
the 200 block of S. Old Stage
Road at 3:24 p.m.
*Michael Tucker, 38, was
cited for third-degree theft at
4:26 p.m. in the 1100 block of
Waldo Road.
*At 4:42 p.m. a fellow in
the 200 block of S. Old Stage
Road was questioned regard-
ing the theft of an extension
cord, but he denied it and had
no recollection of the incident.
The case was referred to the
Josephine County District At-
torney for charges.
*A chocolate Labrador
retriever bit someone near Fir
Drive and Old Stage Road at
4:56 p.m. The wounded pass-
erby claimed that the pregnant
owner of the canine was in a
house with a chain-link fence.
Law enforcement could not
locate anyone with a dog
matching the description.
*Investigation continued
in the 300 block of N. Sawyer
Avenue at 5:35 p.m.

*Twenty-seven situations.
Wednesday, Jan. 25
*A 1993 Chrysler New
Yorker was abandoned half a
mile up Suncrest Drive from
Waldo Road at 9:17 a.m. The
former owner spotted the
Facebook post of the car, and
reported that she had sold the
Chrysler as a junked vehicle
to someone in Selma. The
car was difficult to remove
because it was stuck in mud.
*There was a harassment
issue in the 200 block of Ollis
Road on Dec. 20, 2016. It
was reported Jan. 24, and the
peace-disturber was trespassed
from that location.
*A gal was bleeding from
the mouth in the 7200 block
of Rockydale Road at 9:43
a.m., but she declined medical
treatment. She claimed that
her boyfriend assaulted her,
but she was gone when law
enforcement arrived.
*It was all about the bass for
a neighbor in the 9300 block
of Takilma Road who did not
appreciate amplified music,
drumming, and barking dogs
from 1-3:30 a.m.
*On Jan. 24, a resident in the
200 block of Circle W Drive
returned home to find an un-
known construction company
was hanging wire on poles
across his property.
*Law enforcement patrolled
the 3200 block of Waldo Road
at 1:53 p.m.
*A dude in a black hat and
camo hoodie broke into a blue
house in the 200 block of S.
Caves Avenue at 2:15 p.m.
A deputy arrived with a writ
for the property and posted
trespass warnings.
*An abandoned 911-call
was received at 3:13 p.m. from
the 600 block of Humming-
bird Road. A prior call from
this number was regarding a
complaint about cannons in
Nov. 2016.
*A guy in a camo jacket and
black hat was in a red Isuzu
when it pulled into a driveway
near Waldamar Road at 3:18
p.m. The driver was not locat-
ed, but a 17-year-old passenger
was released to his mother.
*A bully appeared to be
impaired when he threatened
to kill people at 120 N. Red-
wood Hwy. at 3:54 p.m. His
girlfriend was not concerned
for her own safety because
her beau gets drunk and says
things, but he doesn’t follow
through.
*At 4:18 p.m., an obnoxious
female wearing paisley stretch
pants and a green beanie was

Thursday, Jan. 26
*A neighbor complained
again regarding loud, ampli-
fied bass in the 9300 block of
Takilma Road. This offense
occurred from 10:45-11:30
p.m. Jan. 25.
*A forthcoming chap heard
that law enforcement went to
the 2100 block of Rockydale
Road to talk with him regard-
ing the theft of a camp trailer.
At 10:44 a.m. he provided his
current location to make him-
self available for questioning.
*At 12:54 p.m. a motor-
ist was warned for failure to
obey a traffic control device
(FTOTCD) at the intersection
of Hanby Lane and Redwood
Hwy.
*The driver of a Honda was
stopped at 1:10 p.m. at W.
River Street and N. Hussey
Avenue. He was warned for
switched plates and FTOTCD.

causing trouble with custom-
ers. She urinated in the parking
lot at 121 S. Redwood Hwy.,
then scurried down the alley
carrying a pink plastic hand-
bag. Jennifer Thomas, 45, was
detained at Josephine County
Jail on a warrant from Ashland
for failure to appear for driving
under the influence of intoxi-
cants. She had another warrant
from Grants Pass Department
of Public Safety for failure to
appear on trespass charges.
