*Cannaguard Security said the
person they contacted did not have the
code to deactivate an alarm in the 2700
block of Holland Loop Road at 1:09 p.m.
(Short-term memory loss?)
*At 1:46 p.m. trees fell into a ditch,
blocking drainage, and causing flooding
on Thompson Creek Road. Josephine
County Public Works Dept. (JCPWD)
was advised.
*Construction workers spotted the
red Dodge pickup truck being driven
on Rockydale Road and Waldo Road at
1:47 p.m. It went through Four Corners
and was last seen heading towards the
snow park. Law enforcement followed
fresh tracks towards Happy Camp, and
they drove and hiked as far as possible
until deep snow prevented further
investigation.
*An 88-year-old grandmother was
upset because her grandson refused to
give her the car keys at 2:47 p.m. in the
23800 block of Redwood Hwy. She can
no longer legally drive, but she wanted
to go to the store. He agreed to take her
shopping, so she no longer needed law
enforcement.
*Three Mill Road Bridge was
completely washed out, and had fallen
into the creek at 4:05 p.m. JCPWD was
advised and was dispatching a road crew.
*There was a second incident of
a family feud in the 23800 block of
Redwood Hwy. at 4:33 p.m. No law
enforcement or medical assistance
was required, but there may be some
evictions.
*A disorderly older gent was
yelling, talking to himself and singing
in the rain near the bridge in the 33200
block of Redwood Hwy. at 4:53 p.m.
Outside the Valley
*Twenty-one entries.
Thursday, Jan. 19
*At 9:34 a.m., a not-so-sneaky thief
was seen at Shop Smart in possession
of the registered owner’s stolen vehicle.
Photos were taken and forwarded to law
enforcement.
*A husband was worried about his
pregnant wife in the 700 block of Three
Mill Road because the bridge washed
away. He was inquiring about alternate
roads or routes out of their home, but
apparently, there are none.
*Either Dec. 31 or Jan. 1, a 16-inch
scratch with blue paint transfer was
inflicted upon the passenger side of a
2015 Toyota Tacoma truck.
*A man phoned law enforcement
and Department of Human Services
because his wife had kept his children
from him for 25 days. He claimed they
lived at an illegal marijuana grow site
in the 8100 block of Deer Creek Road.
A deputy encountered a locked gate and
no trespassing sign, so he requested a
contact number so he could phone the
wife. There was no reason to believe that
the children or their mother were at risk.
*Road debris was removed from the
19000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 2:25
p.m.
*Information was obtained
regarding a restraining order at 146 S.
Redwood Hwy. at 2:41 p.m.
*Law enforcement continued
investigation in the 100 block of
Pinewood Way at 3:12 p.m.
*Josephine County Sheriff’s Office
(JCSO) assisted Josephine County
Probation Department with a consent
search of a saloon patron’s vehicle at
3:39 p.m.
*A deputy gathered information in
the 100 block of S. Hussey Avenue at
4:09 p.m.
*The procrastinator in a white
Toyota 4-Runner was warned for expired
registration at 4:28 p.m. in the 300 block
of Hanby Lane. He had his new plates in
his vehicle, but had yet to put them on
the Toyota.

*Twenty-two incidents.
Friday, Jan. 20
*At 9 a.m. a guy was stopped
at the red light on Hwy. 199 and W.
Watkins Street when an SUV ran into his
vehicle. The red-haired, heavy-set driver
initially stated that he had no insurance
or driver’s license, then offered to give
his phone number and pay $50. As
soon as the first guy turned to get his
information, he fled in a black SUV with
a push-guard on the front.
*Investigation continued in the 200
block of N. Sawyer Avenue at 10:28 a.m.
*Emily Kayla Carroll, 23, was
detained at Josephine County Jail for
failure to appear on warrants from
Grants Pass Department of Public
Safety (GPDPS) and Medford Police
Department. Carroll was apprehended in
the 200 block of Ollis Road at 10:54 a.m.
*A burglary from an unlocked
detached garage in the 3100 block of
Rockydale Road was reported at 11:06
a.m. The theft occurred between 1-8 a.m.
on Jan. 16. Missing items include a red
Millermatic 175 MIG welder, valued at
$650, and two gas cans worth $25. A
report was filed for second-degree theft
and burglary.
*At 11:45 a.m. a red Grand Prix
was flying 60 mph until it slid out at
the end of Finch Road. The bird-brain
driver then headed to the 3700 block of
Westside Road, where the occupants then
fled before law enforcement arrived. A
satchel containing 25 keys was found
in the car. The registered owner was
notified that Jerry’s Tow had his Grand
Prix. The bad news, his car was crashed.
The good news, it was more of a slide
and there was no impact or damage.
*JCSO met with Illinois Valley
Fire District at 12:58 p.m. regarding the
bridge that was washed away on Three
Mill Road. They were planning a way to
access residents of that area, and to let
them know how they will be rescued in
case of emergency.
*A deputy searched for a car in the
3500 block of Waldo Road, and made an
arrest at 1:19 p.m. Joseph Martin Jones,
29, was detained at Josephine County
Jail on a warrant for failure to appear and
possession of meth.
*Information was obtained at the
trailer park at 24542 Redwood Hwy. at
2:22 p.m.
*A chap consented to search of
his pockets at 2:55 p.m. at N. Old
Stage Road and E. River Street. He
even admitted that he had drugs and
paraphernalia. Justin Brian Taylor, 28,
was detained at Josephine County Jail
for five felony warrants from JCSO and
an additional warrant from GPDPS.
*At 3:50 p.m., the driver of a Suzuki
on N. Kerby Avenue and W. River Street
allowed law enforcement to search his
vehicle. Christopher Adam Roy, 46,
was detained at Josephine County Jail
for the manufacture, distribution, and
possession of a controlled substance
within 1,000 feet of a school. He had a
warrant, and was also in trouble for false
information, and felon in possession of
a weapon (brass knuckles). He was cited
for violation of driving while license was
suspended, and failure to signal a left
turn.
and 8 a.m. Dec. 28.
*An individual in the 500 block of
Beebe Drive reported a stalking order
violation occurred on Jan. 18, 19 and
21, claiming that the stalker was not to
be within eyesight or viewing distance.
Upon further questioning, details
emerged that the alleged stalker lived in
the 400 block of Beebe Drive, making it
impossible to be invisible to her next-
door neighbor with the fragile feelings.
The violation was unfounded.

*A dozen items.
Sunday, Jan. 22
*A gal was on her way to a dinner
date when she found a phone in the road
at 126 Redwood Hwy. She knew who it
belonged to, but she didn’t want to be
late, so she kept going. The owner of the
phone sped up to her, confronted her,
then pushed her in the chest while she
tried to hand him the phone. She claimed
that her pain was an eight out of 10, but
she had no injuries other than a red mark.
*A theft that occurred on either
Jan. 14 or 15 in the 100 block of Ken
Rose Lane was reported at 9:38 a.m. A
Husqvarna tool box, Miller Bobcat 225
Kohler welder worth $3,525, 100 feet
of cables, and a welder cover were all
removed without permission. The heavy
snow knocked down his carports, so
the owner just realized the items were
missing once the snow was cleared.
*An abandoned vehicle was towed
from a ditch in the 5000 block of
Takilma Road at 1:35 p.m.
*At 1:05 p.m., a truck lost a tire
and was blocking the road near the
intersection of Redwood Hwy. and
Rockydale Road.
*Yelling and five gun shots were
heard at 1:15 p.m. A clueless chap living
in a small building in the 100 block
of Jackadel Lane was advised on safe
shooting practices.
*A gun shot was heard at 2:26 p.m.
at a vacant residence on Schumacher
Street and S. Kerby Avenue. Then a guy
wearing an Army green jacket and a
gal wearing a white jacket and stocking
cap were seen walking away from the
property. She appeared to be in her 20s,
and was carrying a small backpack and a
rifle.
*Interior Hi-Fi reported an alarm
in the 100 block of N. Kerby Avenue at
5:43 p.m.

*Sixteen listings.
Saturday, Jan. 21

*Someone went postal and stole
three mailboxes from the 5600 block of
Westside Road between 5 p.m. Dec. 27
*Eleven items.
