in rural areas without supervision.
“We need to protect animals as if
they’re our children, from all kinds
of predators, including humans,” she

that when people see things that are
suspicious, if they believe there is

“continue to be diligent in ensuring
that their dogs are safely contained

county animal shelter or at a local
veterinarian’s office. These licensing
fees “go far in helping the animal
shelter return lost dogs to their

if we find enough evidence that links
cases together, then we’ll let people
know. Right now we do not have a
case. But we’ve had dogs taken out
of cars before, so people should use
good judgment when they travel
with their pets, and if your dog goes
missing please report it to the shelter
so that we know. I do encourage
people to be responsible dog owners
and keep them at home.”
